About Cherry House Restaurant

There are few restaurants that can boast a quarter of a century’s continuous ownership, but The Cherry House at Werrington is unique in many ways. Under the control of Chef/Patron Andrew Corrick, formerly Head Chef at The Park Lane Hotel in Mayfair, the restaurant offers visitors fine British dining with a respectful nod to classic French in a four hundred year old quintessential English country cottage built using local stone. Located just three and a half miles from the hubbub of the city centre, thankfully The Cherry House in its village setting feels a million miles away. History has the building used by Oliver Cromwell as he plotted the King’s downfall; the name itself derives from the original Cherry House which formed part of Cherry Farm, well known for its ‘Werrington Cherries’. The kitchen today continues to utilise locally produced ingredients and ethically sourced fish. An ever-evolving menu, the Table d’hote changes fortnightly and the Sunday lunch menu monthly. The Cherry House at Werrington offers something for the serious food lovers, for those romantic evenings, corporate entertaining and for those just enjoying fine fresh food prepared with care and attention to detail.
