WELCOME

Hakka2 is a modern and stylish interior restaurant situated in the heart of Swindon town centre, the place where you can meet and greet friends and family. We serve a variety of food choice from Dim Sum, Hakka Temptation, Rasa Malaysia and Classic Chinese ! All the meals are well prepared by our chef with the finest ingredients. 

The Hakka are unique ethnic sub-group of the Han. They have well reserved traditional beliefs and cultures, and are thought to be of royal blood. The Chinese character of Hakka (客家）means "guest family". Hakka folks reside in their fortified roundhouse in exchange for working in paddy fields. They have a distinct dialect that is somewhat related to Mandarin, and though they are Han Chinese, their customs are different.

Hakka cuisine is known for its stewed and braised dishes, as well as for its use of meat and tofu. Braised Pork Belly is an example of classic popular Hakka dishes. Hakka food is characterised as fragrant and umami.
