We were generally disappointed by the hotel. We selected this hotel over other local ones due to the facilities as we celebrated our anniversary. Unfortunately the pool area was quite outdated, we felt quite uncomfortable with the changing room and pool area as it didn’t seem the cleanest. We had one look at the steam room and refused to set foot in there as it looked grubby. The pool offers swimming lessons for kids, but we haven’t seen this mentioned on the website, you are only informed at checkin. as the pool was so small, we decided not to use it as it wouldn’t have been a relaxing experience. Some parts of the hotel seem refurbished but we were disappointed with our room lacking ventilation. After showering, the steam stays in the bathroom. The mold in the bathroom was shocking, but maybe we had false expectations for a 4 star hotel. There was a lot of condensation on our windows due to the issue of having no bathroom fan. We stayed in cheaper premier inn/travelodge hotels and in regards to cleanliness and mold, they had higher standards. Breakfast was ok, but nothing special. The hotel, apart from the mold and pool, was generally ok-ish, but we do regret we didn’t go somewhere else

Ben m Friends getaway - TripAdvisor review

It’s a Great gym and leisure facility and it has continued to improve since I became a member a couple years ago and offer lots of great services. It’s Very good price for all the facilities and it’s always quiet when I go. the management “Dan the man” and all the staff are fantastic. They go above and beyond to make everyone feel at home safe and comfortable And all keep a high level of hygiene. They have bar and restaurant that’s discounted with the membership and also Indre who is fantastic and offers spa treatments and amazing massages. I won’t be leaving anytime soon and can’t wait to see what Dan does next with this wellness hub and community he has helped create and thrive.

The evening food in the restaurant was fantastic- everything freshly cooked. Served by Chris and Amy who were very professional and friendly. Then a huge full English breakfast the next morning. Also a gym and weights room and swimming pool. The hotel was round the corner to the railway station and close to the Conference Centre where I had to go for a prompt 9.00 start so very convenient for me.
