An Unforgettable Stay at The Ocean Guest House: A Hidden Gem in Weymouth I don't typically write TripAdvisor reviews, but my recent stay at The Ocean Guest House in Weymouth from Sunday 28th May to Thursday 1st of June was so exceptional that I couldn't resist creating an account to share my experience.First and foremost, the host, Maxine, is an absolute gem. Her enthusiasm and delightful personality are infectious, and within moments of meeting her, I found myself laughing and feeling genuinely welcomed into her home. Maxine's professionalism and passion for running a B&B are truly remarkable, and she goes above and beyond to ensure her guests have a fantastic stay.The cleanliness of The Ocean Guest House is second to none. The entire property is immaculate, and the bespoke decorations, including Maxine's hand-drawn artwork incorporating unique objects such as fire extinguishers as pieces of art, add a touch of charm and creativity. It's evident that Maxine has poured her heart and soul into every detail.Breakfast at The Ocean Guest House is an experience in itself. The portion sizes are generous, and the full English breakfast comes with all the trimmings. What impressed me the most was how perfectly cooked the food was, without being greasy or soaked in oil, as well as catering for vegetarians and those who require freeform products, Even though my partner and I are not typically breakfast people, we made sure not to miss out during our stay!The rooms at The Ocean Guest House were a true haven. They were impeccably clean, easily accessible, and tastefully decorated, offering both ample space and functionality. Whether you prefer living out of a suitcase or unpacking your belongings, the rooms cater to both preferences. The attention to detail in the room design was outstanding, and we felt incredibly comfortable throughout our stay.But what truly sets The Ocean Guest House apart is its prime location. Situated within walking distance of everything you need, this B&B offers breath-taking views from every room. We were fortunate to stay in rooms that overlooked the picturesque harbour on one side and the stunning Jurassic Coast on the other. It was truly mesmerizing, and waking up to those views each morning was a dream come true.In conclusion, my stay at The Ocean Guest House was nothing short of exceptional. Maxine's warm hospitality, combined with the immaculate cleanliness, bespoke decorations, delicious breakfast, and unbeatable location, made it an unforgettable experience. If you're planning a trip to Weymouth, I wholeheartedly recommend staying at The Ocean Guest House. A lovely stay We’ve just left after our short stay here, we stayed for 1 night as we were passing through to get to Cornwall for work the next morning. What a lovely stay we had, it was short but sweet and Maxine the owner couldn’t do enough for you! Anything we needed she was there, and she said she was always at the other end of the phone too. We checked in and went to explore Weymouth, had some food and came back in the evening as we were departing early the next morning for work. Normally breakfast doesn’t start till 9am but Maxine said that she didn’t want us going without breakfast and she said she would do it before we left, at 7:30am Maxine made us the most gorgeous freshly cooked breakfast with coffees. This was a very cosy, lovely place and it was right on the harbour behind, with the beach also at the front of the building! The views from the bedroom windows were also gorgeous and we loved the honesty bar downstairs, you can go behind the bar and make any kinds of drinks, and you leave the cash in the box; we loved this! Thank you for a lovely evening ocean guest house. When we come back to Weymouth we would love to stay here again. Thank you!

Excellent as always. Excellent as usual. This is now our"go to" accommodation when we are in Weymouth. Spotlessly clean and Maxine is always friendly. Breakfast is good. Generally a great place to stay. Highly recommended.

Lovely stay at The Ocean Guesthouse. Great stay, spotless room and bathroom, amazing sea view, breakfast was lovely both days, sat in the sun on the terrace. Maxine was perfect host, made us both feel at home straight away. Will definitely be back!

The Ocean, very reasonably priced 8 of us visited Weymouth for a night at The Pavillion and stayed at The Ocean B & B.... Very 'quirky' little guesthouse with unusual curiosities everywhere you looked, absolutely a little gem of a place.... and Maxine (the Landlady) was sooooo down to earth and friendly, you couldn't fail to warm to her, she couldn't do enough for us, made us a cuppa on arrival, breakfast was mainly help yourself for juice, toast, cereals etc.... and the cooked breakfast, tea/coffee was more than enough...The beds 😴😴😴😴 were fantastic, we all slept so well...so thank you so much for a great stay, we'll be back!

2 night Easter break If you are visiting Weymouth and looking for a warm welcome the Ocean guest house is the perfect place for you! Well located, the rooms are immaculately clean and beautifully decorated. The beds were super comfy and the breakfast spot on. Thank you Maxine for a memorable weekend. Outstanding nothing to complain about at all Maxine is a fantastic host. Nothing to much trouble. Breakfast absolutely fantastic. Like home from home. Will always go back couldn't fault it. Would recommend to anyone. She has also got a hand rail for the shower if needed. Maxine is a breath of fresh air. You couldn't love for a better host. MARY

Quirky, beautiful, quant , full of character! Absolutely beautiful.. Maxine had all areas covered.. great host , clean , comfy , breakfast ..views to die for ! Will definitely be back ! Lovely bar area .. outside terrace, views of the beach one side and views of the harbour the other side !

The only place to stay in Weymouth. Lovely place to stay, great location, lovely clean rooms with great views. Perfect location close to the beach, harbour, pavilion, town and all amenities. Maxine was a great host, very accommodating and cooked us a delicious breakfast. Would definitely stay again.
