I first visited here last year for my birthday, it was so good we came back on our anniversary, and then we just had to book for Valentines because quite honestly there is no place I would have rather ate . I cannot begin to explain how GOOD the food is here, the steak just melts in your mouth, the butters and sauces just add sooo much flavour to an already delicious steak. Everything down to the chips, sweet potato fries and the Camembert which we have with our main just makes this whole experience a party in my mouth! Since our first visit I’ve basically made my whole family visit here and they all agree it’s amazing. I only wish I could afford to eat here every week because believe me I most probably would! We visited The Library for the first time too and had some lovely cocktails; this is now going to have to be a regular thing to do on our visits to Mugshot. Thank you for a lovely valentines meal and I am already looking forward to our next visit which hopefully won’t be too long away .

The most amazing dining experience I have ever had. I have been a number of times and I am not sure it will ever be topped as my favourite restaurant. The decor is great, the staff are always super friendly and attentive. The food is next level, couldn't recommend enough.

After tipping off my daughter following a couple of meals I've had at Mugshot, her boyfriend booked a table for their anniversary. I had been raving about it for ages. I'd been unable to get a present for them in time so quickly called the restaurant prior to their booking to arrange / pay ahead for some drinks. The staff member I spoke to helped me arrange the anniversary surprise with literally half an hour to spare! My daughter and her boyfriend came back buzzing from the service and of course, the amazing food! If you haven't been, you need to! PS: dripping sauce is probably the best on the planet!

Best steak house we've ever visited. Such a fun experience but the staff and service is truly epic. As out of towners I urge you to visit mugshot!!

Went to mugshot this week with my family for my 18th birthday, we first went to The Library cocktail bar which is linked with mugshot. Was genuinely amazing. Shyam was the best waiter and the food was to die for. Will definitely be returning!!!

My partner and I are in absolute awe at this restaurant! The single best steak experience of our lives. The butters are divine, and every bite you sear yourself is just as great as the last. Sorcha (I hope I've spelt it right!) was an excellent waitress as well! We were booked somewhere else for our 6 year anniversary in October... but we're definitely second guessing now

The food was absolutely f*****g fantastic- the sauces and were incredible especially the beef dripping - I’ve never experienced food like that in my life. And the unexpected cocktail bar that if you wonder isn’t a strip club lol called library is as high end as you like.

The whole experience was fantastic, the staff are lovely, location, music and decor is great too. For the food we had the caveman bouf and a bottle of Malbec and it was honestly one of my favourite dining experiences if not my favourite. Beautiful meat, lovely sauces and good fun with the hot stones. Downstairs was a little stuffy but it was a hot day so to be expected. Would go again and recommend to anyone I like. 10/10

What an experience ! The steak comes out blue on a hot stone, you choose 2 butters to cook your steak in, and cook them at the table on the hot stone. It is a really fun concept and made dinner different. The food it’s self was amazing, we had Camembert and pork bites to start, they were perfectly cooked and tasted delicious. All the waiting staff and management were very accommodating and friendly you never went without. Would definitely recommend this dining experience!

There are so many options of places to eat and drink in Bristol, so if you're stuck for choice, trust me and choose this one! It took us a while to decide and I'm so glad we chose here. The food is incredible, lots of drinks choice, restaurant theme is so good and the staff are lovely & helpful! While you're here as well, you MUST go to their sister cocktail bar The Library just a few doors down! Amazing! We can't recommend both enough and would definitely go back. One of the highlights of our weekend away in Bristol!

Absolutely fantastic visit (as always!)! This has to be our favourite restaurant in the Bristol area by far. We have visited Mugshots on multiple occasions and it is always incredible. The staff are so welcoming, fun and knowledgeable. The food and drink is divine - the best steak ever!!!! We love the background music and general atmosphere. The only let down was a missing toilet seat in the unisex restroom - which for me (the lady) meant I had to clean the toilet bowl before I could use the facilities. Absolutely stunning food and can’t wait to be back again soon!

As a walk-in we were lucky to get a table but we were early in the dinner session (5pm). We were received very well by the staff and looked after in a friendly and informative way without being overly familiar. Genuine and professional. The cocktails were delicious, and the whole hot stone steak experience was excellent. The food was very good quality and very tasty. A small but well balanced choice of puds was offered and we just about managed a small one! The bill was not shocking, exactly as you’d expect for great food served by good staff in a trendy city centre. Would definitely go back, and be happy to bring friends as the hot stone thing makes for a very sociable table atmosphere. We won’t chance a walk-in though, will book well in advance.

A vegetarian recommending a steak restaurant might seem unusual but honestly can't remember when we last had a better meal. My husband had the ribeye, I had cauliflower but both were served on hot stones with a choice of butters and sauces so you can still get a similar experience without the meat. Great service too - Jamie was so helpful and explained everything to us as first timers and Luke makes incredible cocktails. Already planning our next visit.

An amazing dining experience offering flavours that surpass any steakhouse I’ve been to in the UK. The meat quality is superb, sides and starters ever expanding and the new black garlic butter is so good. The prohibition feel to the place and classy background music are also brilliant. Have probably eaten here 5-7 times since moving to Bristol last year and the staff have always been so welcoming and friendly, adding to the experience. Adam and the team have perfected their craft and both Mugshots and their associated bar “The Library” go from strength to strength. Mugshots will always be synonymous with our time in Bristol and we will be back.

Undeniably great. You think you’ve tried steak before … until you’ve had this. Not only are the staff (special mention to Alex and Amelia) incredibly knowledgeable and great to chat with they also do amazing steak. You can cook it to your own liking, the butters were intensely rich. Also the cocktail recommendations were insane go for a Pineapple Express if you like something sour and refreshing - best meal I’ve ever had. Don’t have a photo because it was too good

I booked a dinner for me and my other half after a friend from work who is local to Bristol raved about Mugshot so we decided to try it. The service is exemplary with knowledgable and very friendly staff catering to your every wish. You get the table for 90 minutes which is perfect for a few cocktails and a quality steak. It’s a small venue with a 1920’s theme it felt cosy and you were looked after like everyone is their best customer. Will go again, and will probably not order steak anywhere else! Steak on hot stones is the way to go.
