About *Olivia Todd Makeup

Allow me to introduce myself, and share with you my extensive training and experience as a makeup artist renowned for my down to earth, warm, professional approach. In my hands you will instantly feel at ease and you can be confident that my expertise and experience will create a version of you that will delight you.

I specialise in creating makeup that sculpts and enhances facial features and love to use natural, organic and vegan makeup along with high end designer brands. My makeup kit is unequalled and ever evolving, you can be assured that I have every product in every shade, from every high end makeup brand. I am a strong advocate for the natural makeup movement, makeup that enhances and doesn’t mask. My technique for making skin luminous has earned me the title ‘The Glow Queen.’

A bit more abut me, then. A graduate in Fashion Journalism from The University of the Creative Arts, I began my career working for London’s premier glossy fashion magazines and global PR companies gaining a thorough grounding in the beauty industry through my work on multiple editorial shoots for prestigious fashion and beauty brands.

Seeing first-hand the power makeup has to transform and empower, I knew it was the career I had to pursue at the highest level.  I graduated from London’s renowned Glauca Rossi School Of Makeup, (Winner of The Official Makeup Awards ‘Training Academy of the Year 2018 & 2019), whose alumni include celebrity makeup artists Charlotte Tilbury, Mary Wiles and Lauren Parsons. My comprehensive training covered all aspects of makeup application and all genres including bridal and occasion, fashion and photographic, editorial/media and beauty, right through to period looks, including technical structures for high definition media.

I am committed to sustaining leading edge quality and expertise in my field, and trained in Hair Design for Makeup Artists at leading practitioner Cassie Lomas Makeup Academy (CLMA) gaining all the necessary skills to style hair for weddings, occasions, TV and red carpet events.

To expand my skill set still further I completed SFX and prosthetics training at Pinewood Film Studios under David Brown, leading makeup designer on Game of Thrones, Star Wars and The Dark Knight. On these foundations I have built my reputation in the industry through exceptional experience, working alongside some of the top celebrity makeup artists in the world, including Karin Darnell, whose clients include Rihanna, Cheryl Cole, Amanda Holden, Jessie J, Emma Bunton, as her first assistant. I regularly work on shoots with celebrities, fashion and beauty brands, national newspapers and publications with the glitterati of the makeup world, top photographers, stylists, models and media personalities. Among the fantastic projects I have worked on are Strictly Come Dancing, in Lisa Armstrong’s ‘glam team’ where I was also trained in body contouring, makeup and skin finishing with the shows official tanning sponsor Sienna X, Britain’s Got Talent, Britain’s Next Top Model, ITV’s This Morning, Reuter’s News, Children In Need, ITV2’s Celebability and TV commercials including L’Oreal, JD Williams and Superdrug.

I have worked my makeup magic to ‘glam up’ celebrities at the National Television Awards, Brit Awards, Women in Sport, film premieres and other red carpet events. I am always in demand during London, Paris, Milan and New York Fashion Week, most recently on leading makeup artist Naoko Scintu’s team at London Fashion Week 2019. Travel is a passion and I am fortunate that it is one that my career allows me to indulge on shoots and weddings all over the world including in Hong Kong, Ibiza, Paris and New York.

As a trained journalist my writing on beauty has featured in Grazia, Sheerluxe, You and Your Wedding, Perfect Wedding Magazine, The Sun, Fabulous Magazine, and DARE By Superdrug to name just a few. I am a beauty columnist for award winning, innovative beauty brand and magazine Sensica UK and Beauty Editor of Winchesther magazine, a local lifestyle online platform championing women’s issues, leading all beauty content for the publication.

I am regularly engaged to share my skills at workshops and makeup demos for makeup and skincare brands, hotels and spas as well as to collaborate with beauty brands and attend press launches. I am a frequent guest to masterclasses with makeup artists such as Karin Darnell, SJ Froom, Charlotte Tilbury, Nick Lujan ( Director of Artistry and Education at Kevyn Aucoin), and Katie Jane Hughes, ensuring I’m right up to date with the newest innovative beauty products from global makeup brands.
