Keith Lawrence is a Club DJ/Radio Presenter with over 30 years experience of Rockin' The Block. Playing Funk, Soul, Hip-Hop, Boogie Reggae & anything else with ‘Soul’. His musical versatility has seen him DJ alongside DMC Scratch Dj’s to Reggae Soundsystem as well as ‘Keeping it Lively’ in the Club. Keith started his DJ career in the 80’s with a Soul sound system called ‘Magic Touch’ from South London. He was brought in as the ‘Reggae man’ but also played Soul, Boogie and Hip-Hop. During the eighteen years on community radio (Powerjam Radio 10 yrs & Bassline FM 8 years), Keith always played an alternative selection, garnering respect and making links with artists from the UK Hip-Hop scene. This led to him co-release The Bussin’ True EP and subsequently setting up his own record label, Muzik-ed Recordings. Keith also spent fifteen years working in various record shops. Since Keith started in production, he has worked with the likes of Maxi Jazz (Faithless), veteran reggae singer the late Jnr Delgado, Jerry Dammers (The Specials), Keith Leblanc (Drummer of Sugarhill gang), Rodney-P, TY, Daz-I-Kue (Bugz in the attic), Spacek, Andy Smith, Helen Rogers and more. His DJ skills have carried him around the world, receiving a Radio Presenters award from The Stereograph Foundation in October 2017 and was nominated in 2002 for ‘Best UK Hip-Hop Radio Presenter’ in The UK Hip-Hop awards. Whether it's Jay-Z's after party, DJing at Musiq Soulchild, Average white band, Maceo Parker or Kurtis Blow/Furious 5 concerts - Or supplying riddims for Black Twang, Rodney-P, Tenor Fly & Daddy Freddy to spit over in the clubs Hip-Hop/Dancehall style, Keith been there seen it and blown it up! Every time. His career has also seen him DJ alongside more of the world's greats, Norman Jay M.B.E to King Tubby’s Soundsystem. Bottom-line is wherever and whomever Keith plays with, he always, but always delivers. And this time he'll be dropping a Dynamite Party Mix of ‘Tru-skool beats’. And the dancefloors went BOOM!
