Phil Kay ‘Fringe Legend’ @ The Old Savoy - Home of The Deco Theatre

21st May 2027 @ 7:30 pm - 9:30 pm

Come and see Phil do his latest show which is a beautiful mess of daft anecdotes as well as  site-specific sillyness, and cracking conceptual one-liners. He will be making up songs too.  “Honestly, when Phil’s on form he’s unbeatable.” The Scotsman Phil Kay.

The legendary Scottish Storyteller and master of freeform mirth comes to perform ‘Fringe Legend’.

Come and hear all the best stories from his adventures all around the world at Comedy Fringe Festivals. Crawling away from the Police in Edinburgh after storming the Castle naked. Air B’n’B with a Husky Dog/giant hairball in Perth Australia. World’s worst stage dive, Manila. Toasties made in a hotel-room Trouser Press?..and the best way ever to be thrown out of a nightclub.

Phil is Still wild so anything could Happen…

Come see a man from whom the words just flow in a bawdy stream of comic consciousness.
Cyclist, father and renowned follower of the nose.

Phil Kay is a cosmically iconic comic storytelling mind on legs. It doesn’t stop, the man may also improvise a song about his journey to the gig or of his love of the room…or you.

“Kay’s brilliance lies in his complete embodiment of the stories he relays.” The Scotsman

“Mesmerising headf*** genius..” TimeOut London

“Phil Kay’s been doing storytelling in his stand-up since before it was recognised as a sub-genre of the current scene…” The Times

“The man remains one of the most consistently brilliant and uncompromising comedians of his and future generations.” The Metro”

A comic in touch with the deepest wellsprings of his humanity.”  Jay Richardson EdFest
