Blackpool Grand Theatre is the oldest and best-known theatre in Blackpool. Since 2006, the theatre has also been known as the National Theatre of Variety. The Grand was designed by the famous Victorian theatre architect Frank Matcham and was opened in 1894 after a construction period of about nine months. Whether you want drama, dance shows, laughs, thrills or family friendly entertainment, The Grand Theatre has the perfect show for you. This year the Grand celebrates it's 125 year anniversary with a variety of special events.

Plan Your Visit!

We would recommend 30 minutes before the show start time on your ticket. This allows you time to relax and take in the surroundings, find your seat and maybe take a drink in one of our bars.

The nearest car park to the  Theatre is West Street Car Park. West Street is open until 12:30am. The Grand offers special discounted West Street car park tickets. They are only available to ticket holders however. Priced just £2.50 these offer fantastic discount and allow you to park from 5.30pm to 12.30am. 

Public Transport:  The Grand is ideally located 100 feet from the central drop point for most main bus links. Blackpool North Station is approximately five minutes by taxi; offering regular incoming direct services from Preston, Leeds, Manchester, Liverpool and beyond. A taxi rank is located thirty feet from the Grand Theatre entrance.The nearest coach park to the Theatre is at Gynn Square opposite the Savoy Hotel on the promenade. Regular trams run the length of the Promenade if you would like to take the scenic route.
