First opened in 1949, the Halifax Playhouse is still going strong today. It is the home of the Halifax Thespians. The Playhouse has a maximum seating capacity of 260, there is space for two wheelchair users.

Savile Park is large, open park area on the outskirts of Halifax (a ten minute bus ride from Halifax town centre). Parking is also usually easy to find . The park has many events over the year, including the Circus and the annual Halifax Agricultural Show.
