Situated in the heart of Nottingham, the Theatre Royal and Royal Concert Hall are two of the UK’s most vibrant and thriving touring venues, leading the way for arts and entertainment in the East Midlands region.
Across both our venues, we create and receive the highest quality performances chosen especially for you, including internationally renowned orchestras, contemporary dance, opera and touring drama alongside West End musicals, family shows, stand-up comedy, orchestral music and rock & pop gigs.
Rooted firmly in the community, we aim to entertain, inspire and create unforgettable experiences for everyone and place accessibility at the heart of everything we do. With a wide range of workshops and education projects involving the local community, there really is something here for everyone.
Royal Concert Hall - Built in 1982 on the site of the old Empire Theatre, the Royal Concert Hall is highly regarded for its superb visual and acoustic design. Since then, the roll call of famous names to have performed on its stage ranges from world-renowned classical soloists and conductors, to a who’s who of the world’s biggest rock stars, pop bands and stand-up comedians. The unique acoustics of the 2,257-seat auditorium provide a warmth and clarity of sound much admired by orchestras and performers from across the globe.
The Royal Concert Hall has raked seating over three levels; the Stalls, Tier 1 and Tier 2. There are a selection of wheelchair spaces available in the Stalls and Tier 1. For select performances, the Boxes (at the side of Tier 1 and 2) and Choir Stalls (situated behind and above the stage), may also be available for booking. Each level has lift access but there may be a restricted view/reduced sound at the back of Tier 2. Find shows, events and book tickets for The Royal Concert Hall Nottingham here!
