Scarborough Open Air Theatre - What's On
Scarborough Open Air Theatre commonly abbreviated the SOAT or OAT is an outdoor theatre in Scarborough. It was built in Northstead Manor Gardens in 1932, and originally closed in 1986. In 2008 planning permission was received for a major renovation and the £3.5 million scheme to transform the Open Air Theatre was completed in May 2010. It hosts music events, opera productions, community events and many other things for the public. It has just over 6,500 seats and it gets very full quickly when big names perform here like Tom Jones, Little Mix, Olly murs and many more big artists.
