Young Vic theatre have revealed the cast for their re-opening weekend kicking off this Saturday.
The New Tomorrow is a series of pop up performances at the Young Vic Theatre, and will be the first live performances performed at the theatre since March. The performances are in celebration of the Theatres 50th Birthday.
The New Tomorrow will feature short commissioned performances and activist speeches exploring what the next fifty years might hold, by writers and artists including Jade Anouka, Marina Carr, Jasmine Lee-Jones, Ruth Madeley, Amy Ng, Stef Smith, Jack Thorne, Isobel Waller-Bridge and Steve Waters.The likes of Ronkẹ Adékọluẹ́jọ́, Adjoa Andoh, Matthew Dunster, Paapa Essiedu, Martina Laird, Anoushka Lucas and Sophie Stone will perform short works over the course of the weekend.
Limited tickets to see the performances live have already been distributed via a lottery however the Sunday performance will be available to watch for free via Live stream on the Young Vic Theatres Facebook page from 4pm on 4th October.
