Approximately half way down the north coast of the Duchy even the far west tip of Land’s End, the southerly point of The Lizard or Plymouth, the gateway to neighbouring Devon at its south easterly end can all be reached in about an hour from Perranporth. With its 3 miles of soft golden sands, which inspired Winston Graham’s epic saga of Poldark books and an industrial history at least as dramatic as that story, Perranporth has seen its share of changing fortunes but its dramatic coastline, astonishing sunsets and welcoming residents have created a flourishing place for family holidays and romantic getaways alike.
